Family Homework Given 7/22

Pick a night and sit down together as a family, devote it to each other without distractions.

1. We’ve provided a SOAP outline on the back.  For more information about SOAP journaling, check out http://lifecenter.net/resources/bible-plan/ to see a short video from Pastor Joe and a link to his SOAP blog.
2. Read Mark 10:46-52.  How did people first respond to Bartimaeus?  How did Bartimaeus respond when Jesus called for him?  After he was healed, what did Bartimaeus do?
3. Think about how Jesus stopped for someone who needed help. Read Luke 10:25-37.  What did Jesus tell the expert in the law to do? What do you think Jesus wants us to do?
4. Pray together as a family.
5. Prepare for Sunday. Make a list or draw a picture of ways you can follow Jesus’ example by loving others.
6. Memorize our verse.

Memory Verse:

“I have set an example that you should do as I have done for you.”
