Premarital Training

It is true that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," so at Life Center we place a great deal of importance on preparing engaged couples for the lifetime adventure they are about to embark upon.

To participate in the pre-marital at Life Center, we ask couples to make four Biblical commitments to themselves and us. Are they willing to:

1. maintain a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ?
2. establish a permanent marriage arrangement, wherein divorce is not an option?
3. complete premarital training, which usually entails 3 pastoral meetings and 7 training sessions that take place over at least a six-month period?
4. maintain a non-sexual, non-cohabiting relationship from this point until their marriage?

It takes approximately 6 months to complete the entire pre-marital training process, and there is a $75.00 fee for the books (The Five Love Languages, Sacred Marriage, and Before You Say "I Do" ), the Life Innovations Prepare inventory, and handouts.

1. Read and agree to the four Biblical commitments above (if you have any questions about these commitments please contact Pastor Matt) 
2. Watch or listen to pastors Joe's message "Sex & the City,"
3. Contact , the Couples and Family pastor, at 327-4422 x258. Let him know you've read this information, agree to the four commitments above, and have listened to or watched the "Sex & the City" message.

Because of the high demand for pre-marital training at Life Center and length of the training process, we request you contact us 6-9 months in advance of your wedding.
