Common Cup

The Common Cup is a non-profit ministry run by volunteers from our own church body. We have about 75 volunteers who make up seven separate teams that come together consistently to caffeinate our attenders each Sunday morning. All with the goal to earn money for missions throughout our world.

Our Purpose

At the Common Cup our main purpose is to earn money for missions. We run strictly on donations, and all profits made are given to support all types of missions and missionaries around the world.

One way that we do that is through the Missionary of the Month (M.O.M.) program. This is a program designed to highlight missionaries and organizations that are making a difference in our world. The M.O.M. receives partial profit from the month they are assigned, and they get exposure for the entire month at the Common Cup. We make labels to put on our cups and posters that are displayed in the Commons. The M.O.M. is also invited to have a representative at the Common Cup the first weekend of the month to thank our customers for their donations. It gives those customers a chance to put a face to the missionaries, and gives the missionaries a chance to thank people for helping with their cause. This has been a great way for us to support the mission work that is being done throughout our world.

Other missions money is distributed to support Life Center based missionaries, and other missions projects chosen by the Missions Committee.

Interested in serving?

Check out the requirements below to see if it is a good fit for you.....

  1. Be at least 16 years of age, and have transportation to and from the church.
  2. Be able to arrive 1 hour prior to the service you will serve at.
  3. Be willing to commit to being an active part of a team who,
    - meets consistently to serve twice a month (every other Sunday)
    - meets quarterly for team time (fellowship)
    - grows together in their relationship with Christ. (Basically like a Life Group.)
  4. It is highly suggested that you serve at a different service than one you attend in order to get the full serving experience and the full worship experience. (The times you are required to be there will make you miss the first half of the service.)
