Haiti Update
A couple days ago I posted some prayer requests of staff contacts in Haiti, here is a heartbreaking update - please pray!
Dear Friends and Brothers,
Today was an extremely difficult day for me. I had to go the mountains to see some of the churches that were affected by the earthquake.
The Mission only has 10 churches, but 50% of our churches are partially or totally destroyed. I am full of sorrow, especially for Guillo who has worked for 20 years to build a ministry, only to see it now in ruins in only 10 seconds. He is very sad and in a state of shock, he is losing hope, every few moments they call him on the phone with news of another friend or leader who has died or lost their home or church.
The ministerial network he presides over is composed of some 750 churches, many of which have been affected.
They have to concentrate on saving lives, and for this reason we have decided to hire the staff of a hospital that was closed down because Felix, Guillo and I all believe that this is vital for the project to rebuild a New Haiti.
Never in my life have I felt so helpless, without hope, desperate and painfully sad, so sad. The damage is so severe that it is difficult to say where to begin, I honestly do not know how they will be able to do it, I believe that the nations need to develop a Marshall Plan as they did in Europe after WWII, if not there will be a chaotic civil war.
I ask all of you to pray, but that you also send offerings either directly to the Mission or motivate your churches to do a special collective offering for the Haiti Relief Fund Project, you can send your donations through the following link:

I beg all of you to pray for safety as I return to Jimaní, DR and coordinate the details of this help and rescue effort that we are executing. Also pray for the Dominican Republic which will also been affected by this crisis. The church over there has responded in a very special way and that has filled me with joy.
Blessings,
Joaquin
