Life Center Foursquare Church

I’ve been following our yearly Bible reading plan and hope you’ve been too.  I can’t say I’ve been perfect at following the schedule but as I heard a speaker say last week, “Part is better than nothing!”  You might be like me and quiet time in the morning is not a reality.  The day gets busy with things to do, deadlines to meet, and by the time the kids are finally asleep, you are not awake enough to devote alone time with the Lord.  I’ve been finding time during the day (in between meetings at work, while the boys are playing a puzzle, etc.) and making the most of it.  While I was working retail, I would read while I ate my lunch, which is also a great witnessing opportunity to your coworkers!    

I was reminded this week reading through the life of Jacob just how sinful we are and how awesome God is.  I get a lot of hope for myself seeing that Jacob and his family were blessed by God, all because of his attitude of faith.  I pray that I can have that same persistence in following God.  I want to be able to grab onto Him and shout, “"I will not let you go unless you bless me!" (Genesis 32:26)
