Take This Job

Hi everyone,

This Sunday is part of Labor Day weekend, and to celebrate, we're kicking off a new 5-week series on work entitled, Take this job and love it! We spend over half our waking hours at work--do you think God cares about what we're doing, how we're doing it and why we're doing it? We're going to see what the Bible says about work, develop a theology of work and try to think Christianly about it. Here is what we'll be talking about:

  • Sept 5--Rethinking your work: curse or calling?
  • Sept 12--Finding your calling: doing what God made you to do.
  • Sept 19--Priorities: juggling work, family, self and God.
  • Sept 26--Living Christianly in the marketplace.
  • Oct 3--Burned out, stressed out, tired out.

Each week, we're going to highlight various types of workers and celebrate their contribution and pray for them. I think you'll find these talks helpful, and hope they will stimulate lots of discussion in our Life Groups
